Another Christmas, another light competition, this one the Trinity Street Light Competition in a neighbourhood near the PNE.
Decorations ranged from this scene of a family of reindeer grazing in the front yard
to this ostentatious display, complete with full-size motion-activated Singing Santa on the front steps, with whom I had a little song and dance,
to this Christmas tree, with the Big Man’s silhouette,
to this elaborate scene, complete with swaying Santa and gigantic plastic snow globe,
to this house, which had many wooden vignettes hand-carved by the craftsperson, including the three ships of Christopher Columbus which had sailed to the New World in 1492 renamed as Faith, Hope and Charity.
