Sunday was a beautiful Fall day for a ride around Stanley Park. Unfortunately, my camera’s battery was dead so I had to pull out the ol’ camera phone for these pictures. These photographic images are more like paintings than photos, since there’s a certain haziness and lack of sharpness, but they’re quite interesting none the less, I think.
English Bay was full of strollers, skaters, cyclists and a mad dog screaming down the beach trying, unsuccessfully, to catch seagulls.
George Wainborn park was lit in a beautiful way when the sun, momentarily, streamed out from behind an enormous woolly cloud.
I rather like the softness of these images and, briefly, was inspired to paint them. We’ll see if the inspiration lasts …
